Topo Chico | The Source of Legend

To celebrate 130 years of Topo Chico, we brought to life the legends that make up the mineral water’s storied history. We started with their origin story, and from there mined for facts that could lead to lore. The rest is “history” (we made it up).

The Source: “In 1902, volcanic disturbances on the island of Martinique affected the temperature of the spring waters of Topo Chico by six degrees from 104-110.”

The Legend: “A Good Year” :90

The Source: At the top of Mount Topo Chico was the “music hotel” which focused on “go-go bands and mariachis” right around the time rock and roll music was finding its footing.
